A Montepulciano d'Abruzzo pleasure
October 2012 saw the launch of a multimedia campaign in Italy, Germany, Great Britain and Northern Europe, promoting "Montepulciano d'Abruzzo" the region's foremost grape variety.
Professor Renato Mannheimer, the researcher behind the pre-launch statistics, confirmed that the "highly innovative" style was sure to be well-received within the Italian market.
The presentation of the campaign took place at the Marrucino theatre in Chieti, one of the main cities where Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is produced.
Promoted by Consorzio Tutela Vini d'Abruzzo, Consorzio Colline Teramane and Consorzio Tullum, the summit saw the participation of Tim Atkin and other experienced european masters of wine, such as Veronika Crecelius and Thomas IlKjaer.
